The crew broadcast crushed glass for anti-slip. explained Puckett. "If we'd worked that project non-stop, we probably could have done it in three or four days." But because they had other projects to juggle, they had to find a way to make it work — even if that meant working on Wilburn's restaurant at night like they occasionally had to when applying the coatings. Because they'd started spraying the primer around dinnertime, the crew returned around 11 at night to put the lining on. It was a late night for this coatings crew, but that brought a quicker end in sight. the entire county. But the post office had since been remodeled into a restaurant, and there were a few necessities that had gone missing, such as proper drainage. Two days before Puckett and his crew arrived, Wilburn had another contractor come in to install a new drainage trench. What's a new kitchen floor without proper drainage, after all? All that remained was to encourage the water to flow toward the drain. "We were able to raise the profile of the floor and improve the drainage on it," explained Puckett. Water is inevitable in kitchens, especially when cleaning up after a busy night, so it was important for Wilburn and her staff to have the right setup. To make that happen, Puckett applied Rhino Linings' Extreme Polyurea with a Graco EXP-2 proportioner and a Pentech MG gun. Wearing Tyvek suits and 3M respirators, the crew applied the polyurea in 80 mils (2,032 microns) at a 1:1 ratio. It took them 4 to 5 hours to spray and to broadcast crushed glass to help with anti-slip properties. On top of that, they applied a black waterborne urethane by VersaFlex called WBG250 at 5 mils (127 microns) to seal the floor from water or stains, and they added another layer of crushed glass into the urethane to add texture. Finally, the crew applied a coat of WBG250 clear at 5 mils (127 microns). Within 10 to 12 oN a Roll Greenville, which became a city in 1828, has a population of about 950 people. "Tourism is already the biggest single industry in the county," said Wilburn about Meriwether County, which houses Greenville. "Our county has land area of 500 square miles [1,295 km²] and 22,007 incorporated cities. And I like to brag on the fact that in the entire square miles, we only have 10 traffic lights. That's how rural it is." There aren't any of those "big box" types of stores there, and that's the way the folks in Greenville would like to keep it. Finding a coatings contractor that could work with the history of the place, then, had been important to Wilburn, who owns not only the restaurant but also the building it's housed in. "David and his crew were just as nice as they could be. I can't say enough nice things about them," Wilburn continued. "As usual, when you're working on a 100-plus-year-old building, it ends up being a whole lot more work than you'd planned on. But he did it all, did the extra work. They're just great people." With only one other sit-down restaurant more than 10 miles (16 km) away, it was important to get this right! That "more work" that Wilburn referred to was the crux of the kitchen renovation. In one of its former lives, the restaurant had been a post office. It was built on the town square around the courthouse, which, at one point in time, acted as the justice seat for RIGHt The crew applied VersaFlex's WBG250 at 5 mils (127 microns) with more crushed glass.
