New & Noteworthy is suitable for a range of formulations where traditional carbon black pigments have been used. When combined with naturally based binder systems and bio-solvents, it can increase the sustainability of formulations to more than 90 percent. PRINTEX Nature allows coating formulators to drive sustainability beyond solvents and resins to the pigment-particle level. Environmentally friendly formulations are growing in importance for marine and protective coatings, decorative coatings, and general industrial coatings. Te coloristic properties of PRINTEX Nature provide medium jetness in full tone applications and good tinting strength. Reader Inquiry # 3405 Marco Announces 24/7 Blasting Operation Monitoring Marco Group International, the world's premier provider of service and equipment for the surface preparation industry, announced today its release of a revolutionary abrasive blasting production monitoring system for mobile and fxed location applications. Te Blastmaster Smart Box Production 104 Management System tracks "live blasting time," allowing for: monitoring productivity in the feld at the blast site through pressure measurement, providing remote monitoring in blast rooms or from remote ofce locations, enabling productivity time and motion studies, providing ability to set parts time production standards, and increasing safety at the worksite through pressure on/of monitoring. "Time is money, and down time is lost money," said Matt Molumby, director of engineering, "Te Blastmaster Smart Box will be an incredible advantage for our customers. Te information it provides will allow them to increase productivity, work safer, and stay on top of their supply needs." Nap-Gard High Tg 7-2555 is a thermosetting epoxy powder designed for use as a corrosion barrier coating for underground and sub-sea pipelines that operate in high temperature service. It can be used as a corrosion coating in a stand-alone or dual-powder coating system or as a corrosion coating under multi-layer insulation systems. When used in conjunction with Axalta's most recent dual layer system Nap-Gard 7-2675, the operating system increases to 356° F (180° C). Te second layer JANUARY 2014 COATINGSPROMAG.COM ensures reduced water permeability and improved chemical resistance. "Our latest Nap-Gard product is a breakthrough in fusion bonded epoxy powder coatings," explained Mike Cash, senior vice president of Axalta and president of its industrial business. "Designing a coating for higher temperature operating systems enables our customers to extract oil from greater depths and more extreme conditions, resulting in higher performance and increased productivity."
