COATINGSPRO JULY 2015 71 New & Noteworthy Send information and photos (transparencies, prints, or high-res JPG digital files at 300dpi) to Editor, CoatingsPro Magazine, 4501 Mission Bay Dr., Ste. 2G, San Diego, CA 92109 or by e-mail with attachments to Chartek Bolt Caps for Advanced Fire Protection AkzoNobel has introduced Chartek Bolt Caps into North America, part of its international product line, as an efective, easy-to-install, and cost-sav- ing specifed solution for high-level fre protection on the bolted connec- tions of steel structures. Chartek Bolt Caps help eliminate the high costs and inconsistent performance associated with freproofng these critical connec- tions because they are manufactured in a single uniform thickness from patented reinforced self-extinguishing polymeric material that can withstand a variety of high heat temperatures and environments. Installers simply snap the Chartek Bolt Caps into place, where they remain mechanically locked to the substrate during a fre with radially oriented stainless steel gripping clips. No specialized training or equipment is required to install the bolt caps, which can be removed for inspection or when tightening bolts. For more information, contact: AkzoNobel, www.internation- Reader Inquiry # 3540 New Convertible NLB Pump Offers 350 hp With Portability A new high-pressure water jet pump unit from NLB Corp., the Model 350, combines an innovative new fuid end design with a rugged 350 hp (261 kW) diesel engine in a unit that can be easily towed to jobsites. It is the latest model in the popular NLB 225 Series of convertible pump units. Te Model 350 is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 20,000 psi (1,680 bar) and can be quickly converted to operate at other pressures (8,000 psi, 10,000 psi, 15,000 psi or 552 bar, 690 bar, 1,034 bar) with a simple conversion kit. Flows range from 26 gpm to 63 gpm (98 lpm to 238 lpm). Te rugged, trailer-mounted unit minimizes its overall footprint with internal gearing that eliminates large pulleys and belts. Te Model 350 is one of many NLB pump units that can be ordered in an UltraGreen confg- uration, assuring compliance with the latest Tier 4F emission requirements for diesel engines from the Environmental Protection Agency while signifcantly reducing operating costs. Te new PowrLiner Series includes models for striping pavement, grass, or turf, with capabilities ranging from gear-driven units for small- to medium-sized jobs, to hydraulic units designed for heav y-duty, long-term use on medium, large, and giant scale NEW PosiTector Replica Tape Reader DeFelsko is pleased to announce its latest innovation, the PosiTector RTR P. T he PosiTector RTR series measures and records surface profile parameters using TestexTM Press- O -Film Replica Tape. T he patented NEW PosiTector RTR P uses imaging sensors to measure the Peak Density (Pd) information contained in replica tape in addition to peak height. Advanced models are able to generate 2D/3D images and surface data files (SDF) of the replicated surface. Black and white 2D and color 3D images are ideal for inclusion into reports and for confirming a consistent blast profile. A high-resolution SDF can be imported into third-party render- ing software for further examination at a cost far less than interferometric or confocal profiling devices. With a single measurement, the PosiTector RTR Series produces a more accurate, linearized peak-to-valley height measurement (HL) over the full range of Coarse and X- Coarse tapes. T here is no need to average two or more replicas as required w ith analog micrometers. For more information, contact: DeFelsko, (800) 448 -3835, w w Reader Inquiry # 3539
