COATINGSPRO JULY 2015 9 Letters to the editor are always welcome. We reser ve the r ight to edit for space considerations. E-mail responses may be sent to editor@coatingspromag.com. Or mail to: Editor, CoatingsPro Magazine, 4501 Mission Bay Dr ive, Ste. 2G, San Diego, C A 92109 Letters Editor, I am a NACE level 3 and very much enjoyed reading your Surface Prep Supplement in CoatingsPro Magazine. Even though I am a level 3, I learn every day (as I should). I found your article very informative. Please continue to do great work and maybe even expand to coating application and inspec- tion procedures! Just some constructive criti- cism: You may want to review which pictures you include with the articles. For example showing a man using a blaster and he has no safety glasses, face shield, or respirator on (depend- ing on what coating he is removing); showing an abrasive blaster blasting with no blast hood on; and showing another man using a blaster with no face shield or respirator (depending on what coating he is removing). I, too, am a rule breaker at times and am not meaning this in a negative way, but some readers may see it in a negative way. Please keep up the great work, and I am looking forward to reading the next supplement. Scott Manon Fenton, IL Mr. Manon, Thank you for taking the time to send us your letter. You raise a great point about showcasing projects and, therefore, showing photos with proper gear, and we do strive to show the safest practices in our magazine. We want ever yone (photo- graphed or not) to wear safety gear that is up to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)'s standards for the material and setting. ~Editor Sustainability Durability Flexibility SEALGUARD VFI ® -990 SILICONE THE NEW BREED OF SILICONE ‰ High Solid Formula ‰ Single Component ‰ Low VOC's ‰ Superior Waterproofing ‰ Energy Cost Savings Buy factory direct and save!
