68 SEPTEMBER 2015 COATINGSPROMAG.COM Adriaan van der Capellen, the technical and sales manager for the waterproofng division at Polycoat Products, agreed. "Te slab was just completely messed up, and that's putting it mildly," he said. "I call it not a concrete pour but a concrete disaster. I can't believe they poured it that way, whoever poured it. It still had boot prints on it from where the workers walked on it when they were fnishing it. Beyond that, it had structural problems. It's cracked everywhere, it was hollow sounding in areas — just a bad pour." Brenchley said the slab looked like it was created with several diferent pours and agreed with van der Capellen on the assessment. "I mean, it even had footprints in it," Brenchley reiterated. "It was looking really bad." Sh ot b l a s tin g s h owe d th at in s te ad of 1,000 (304.8 m) of crack s , t h e co n c r e te h a d 10,000 f e e t (3 ,04 8 .0 m).
