Launches Novel Technology for Foaming Kynar PVDF Arkema Inc. is offering new performance options to its customers for Kynar PVDF and Kynar Flex PVDF resins by offer- ing a foaming technology that uses a foam concentrate designed specifically to work with Kynar resins. Arkema's Fluoropolymers team has recognized this need and has developed an excep- tional product to meet it. Foamed samples utilizing this technology show improved properties, such as flexibility, strip-ability, ease to cut, thermal and acoustic insulation, reduced shrink-back in fiber, and compressibility. This devel- opment results in a closed-cell foam structure that maintains the barrier, chemical, and temperature resistance of Kynar resins. It is also important to note that foamed articles are easily weldable to other foamed and non-foamed Kynar products.
