He will continue to be based in Decatur, Ill., and will report to Paul Bloom, business director of ADM Industrial Chemicals. Reader Inquiry #4222 Miller Paint Co., Inc., And Kelly-Moore Paint Company Form Strategic Alliance in Puget Sound Market Miller Paint Co., Inc., has entered into a strategic agreement with Kelly-Moore Paint Company, Inc., to acquire the business operations and selected assets of 10 Kelly-Moore Paints stores located in the Puget Sound area. Miller will maintain and operate nine locations, while a 10th Kelly-Moore store in Kent, Wash., will be closed and consolidated into Miller Paint's Kent store. Maintaining the high level of customer service that is the hallmark of both Miller Paint and Kelly- Moore in the Pacific Northwest is at the forefront of this seamless transition. On April 30, ownership of the business at the nine Kelly-Moore stores transferred to Miller Paint, with no other changes to the store's operations initially planned. The new strategic alliance was established to maintain the nine Kelly-Moore stores and expand the exclusive distribution of Kelly- Moore's architectural paint products in the region through Miller Paint's current eight store locations. Miller Paint has committed to maintaining and eventu- ally expanding the distribution of the full line of Kelly-Moore products through- out Oregon, Washington, and Northern Idaho, where Miller currently operates 40 stores.
