Cleantech System For Corrosion And Bio-Fouling Control Ecospec announces the first corrosion and bio-fouling control system using patented Ultra-Low Frequency (ULF) electro- magnetic wave technology for use in coastal and off-shore environments. This technology reduces energy consumption and lowers maintenance and operational costs with less environmental impact than alternative methods. With its first commercial installations demonstrat- ing positive results, the system combines EcoSpec's ElMag and BioMag systems. The ElMag system uses ULF waves to promote a self-regenerating, protective magnetic layer around submerged metal structures. When combined with BioMag (Ecospec's ULF bio-fouling control system), the two fully protect against corrosion and bio-fouling in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective way. Rivet-free construction means the blades will not loosen with use. It also makes cleanup easier, since the compound will not build up around rivets. The taping knife backings are non-rust aluminum, with options for a flexible and lightweight folded-aluminum style or a stiff extruded backing. Also included: a hammer head end for resetting popped nails and screws. The Pro Hardwood line includes 16 tools, all with a patented new hardwood handle design and flexible, tapered, blue steel or non-rust stainless blades. The Pro Project line offers eight tools with a flexible, tapered blue steel blade and a user-preferred, patented soft grip handle.
