To help identify surface imperfections that are still present after the application of a primer coat, consider using a colorful tape. After your primer coat has cured, and prior to applying subsequent coats, walk the entire surface of the floor and identify areas that may need to be filled in with a patch. Mark all areas on the surface with tape to show what will need to be filled in. A small piece of painter's tape should do the trick. en, other crew members can follow behind and easily locate the tape to apply the patch. is helps to speed up the process so that none of the patching material, which typically has a very quick potlife once mixed, can be used quickly before it begins to harden. is technique speeds up the process, allowing patching to be completed much more effectively.
