And what a year it's been! Not only has the landscape changed within the United States and abroad, but the CoatingsPro topography continues to change. With 2017 marking our 15-year anniversary, we celebrated in style! We held our inaugural Contractor Awards Program celebration in New Orleans, awarding 16 companies and crews. Each month, we've updated online articles that have been reader favorites over the years. We've also started collaborating with our sister publication, Materials Performance, with "Science Behind It" sidebars to give readers the option to investigate more information. As you can tell, it's all about you, you, you — and we intend to keep it that way! Out With a Bang As always, we're aiming to finish out the year with a bang, and we' ll continue to keep you in mind while we do. In addition to tips on how to hold those ever-present toolbox talks (page 22) and how and when to claim a lien if necessary (page 16), this issue is full of news, ideas, and experiences. We hope that you can find items within these pages that will inform, entertain, and move you. For ex ample, our feature stor y on the recoating of the histor ic Queen Mar y is sure to raise a few eyebrows. You're welcome aboard v ia Jack Innis's w r ite-up, which you can f ind on page 42. We a lso have an over v iew of how coating fai lure ana lyses work in this issue's "Never A gain." Jon Cava l lo has put together a g reat over v iew on page 48.
