Innovations may include coatings and linings, or any other fields directly related to corrosion prevention and mitiga- tion. Submissions will be accepted from individuals, companies, organizations, and government agencies worldwide. Each nomination will be rated by a panel of leading corrosion experts using a numerical scoring system. ere is no fee to submit a nomination, and submissions should be completed by October 31, 2018. Once the deadline has passed, photographs of all nominated water tanks will be posted on the contest web page — available from October 8 until October 19 — where people can vote for the People's Choice award. e People's Choice will automatically be considered among 11 other committee-determined Air Barrier Association Introduces New Award e Air Barrier Association of America (ABA A) introduced a new award in honor of founding member Wagdy Anis, who passed away in 2018. e award was created for members that exemplify dedication to the air barrier industry by providing mentorship, leadership, and setting a standard in volunteer excellence. To that end, Roy Schauffele of Division 7 Solutions, Inc. recently became the first winner of the Wagdy Anis Award of Dedication. In San Antonio, Texas, Schauffele has received multiple honors for his environmental efforts in construc- tion sciences and education. Globally, Schauffele is the only person to have achieved fellowship recognition by both ABA A and the Construction Specifications Institute.
