COATINGSPRO NOVEMBER 2018 11 Huntington Ingalls Names Vice President of Trades Military shipbuilding company and services provider Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) promoted Xavier Beale to vice president of trades at the company's shipbuilding division in Newport News, Virginia. Beale will succeed Ray Bagley, a master shipbuilder who retired in July 2018 after more than 43 years of service. Beale, who had served as director of human resources operations, is now responsible for production trades, trades management, trades administration, and the company's apprentice school. "Xavier brings knowl- edge and experience as well as a unique personal and professional perspective," said Jennifer Boykin, president of the shipbuilding division at Newport News. "He is a second-generation shipbuilder with a close connection to our workforce."
