Only 16 of 3M's more than 100,000 suppliers earned this recognition, and Covestro was the only polymer company. Covestro's raw materials for coatings and adhesives are found in a wide range of 3M's polyurethane coating and adhesive applications, while its polycarbonates are utilized in 3M's traffic safety products. Demilec's honor was announced during the 2018 Polyurethanes Technical Conference. "CPI's Innovation Award is a top honor in the polyurethanes industry," said Lee Salamone, senior director.
