T his can cause ser ious application problems and premature coating fai lures. So be sure to check for f rozen water on the sur face before apply ing the coating. T his can be the big gest d if f icu lt y, because it is tough to see if a sur face is dr y when the temperature d ips below 32° F (0° C). To check to see that the sur face is dr y, place and hold a tissue dow n on the substrate. T his w i l l safely war m up the area by using the heat f rom your hand w ithout hav ing any oi ls contaminate the sur face. Your hand w i l l war m the area, causing any ice to melt. A nd any moisture w i l l absorb and be v isible on the tissue. CP
