COATINGSPRO SEPTEMBER 2015 89 3M Introduces Scotchgard Surface Protection Film 2200 3M is introducing Scotchgard Surface Protection Film 2200: a unique, proprietary, and patented high-performance protection product designed to protect stone and vinyl fooring, bathroom surfaces, and walls. Te thin flm provides substantial, nearly invisible protection from a variety of fnish-eroding events, from high foot trafc and furniture to harmful liquid drips and spills. Scotchgard Surface Protection Film 2200 reduces the time, cost, and labor required for stripping and refnish- ing surfaces. One-, two-, or four-foot (0.3 m, 0.6 m, or 1.2 m) squares can be easily applied to surfaces in minutes. Tey also can be easily removed prior to foor stripping or fnishing. W hen properly applied, the flm can reduce the number of stripping and recoating events.
