I just recently saw a short clip by a comedian who said, "People say that time sneaks up on ya, and, no, it doesn't. It's not Michael Meyers; it's September." It's true. How is it already the end of 2015? Well, time. We watched it fy by! Why are we surprised when we realize how late in the year it is? Yes, it's the end of the year again, which is still crazy, but it also gives us a chance to look back and review the past year. So let's refect, shall we? Take the Time As it starts to turn into the colder months in the United States, now may be the time for many of you to hang up the roller or spray gun and start reviewing your business. W hat did you accomplish? W hat have you avoided that you should attack next year? W hat have you lost or found? For the contractors reading this issue, one question that might hit home right of the bat is where do you want to be fnancially? Do you want to be working with people who you have to extend credit to or ones who pay you on time? Check out A l Dias's Money Matters article on page 18. On page 28, you' ll fnd Rob Sweeney's Safety Watch article on digital reporting methods for injuries. Taking your safety digital might be something to consider in the upcoming year. As for features, in D. Terry Greenfeld 's Never Again this issue, he refects on why the coating on a ship failed. You can see that on page 64. Claire Trageser's article may also give you pause on how you might handle access- and weather-related challenges. Tornado drills, anyone? Tat article, called "Peak Performance: Coating a Natural Gas Power Plant," can be found on page 38. If you're a specifer, how have you been creating your specs? Have you been using boiler plate specifcations for jobs requiring coatings? Perhaps it's time to consider some new additions this year. Check out this issue's Specifying Success article by Randy Glover on page 24. Even if you continue to work through the winter months, you may want to take the time now to look at your company from a strategic stand- point to prepare for 2016. New for You CoatingsPro has achieved quite a bit, too, in 2015. We started two new supplements: Equipment and Concrete Covered. We brought SourceBOOK to a new online platform and spray polyure- thane foam back. In the March issue, we translated our frst article online. And in the September digital issue, we embedded our frst video. Te video complements the story "W hat Lies Beneath: Polyurethane Recoat for a Parking Garage," and it's hosted on — you guessed it — YouTube! Now we've come full circle, and it's time for me yet again to wish you all a successful end to 2015! CP
