Te delegation of state government and business leaders met with high-rank- ing ofcials and commerce leaders for the goal of increasing Missouri export opportunities. ArmorTane was one of six participating businesses. While the company already exports inter- nationally, including working with South America, Froese was interested in identifying new distribution oppor- tunities for some or all of their many polyurea and polyurethane spray coating applications. Columbia was most inter- ested in blast mitigation, mining, and marine (ship) coatings. Peru tended to focus on mining and military/security applications. Essentially, companies in these two emerging markets knew of polyurea protective coatings and plural component spraying equipment, but they did not realize the benefts ofered. Currently, their primary use of coatings was epoxy on fooring, and that is applied by roller instead of the more efective and varied applications of newer products and equipment.
