30 MAY 2016 COATINGSPROMAG.COM online application process in which the applying community details its infrastructure needs, provides photos of potential projects, and describes the impact the project would have on the community. The second phase is an in-person visit from a panel of judges. The judges consist of a technical specialist from CMT, the leader of a water non-profit organization, a retired water executive, an N.C. Department of Environmental Quality represen- tative, a past recipient of CMT Gives Back, and a coatings supplier repre- sentative. These judges evaluate the infrastructure, project feasibility, and the candidate's need, and they recommend a recipient. • Deliver Results. Don't just say you're going to donate, do it! CMT has donated three projects over the past three years to deserving North Carolina communities. • Celebrate. Every CMT Gives Back project concludes with a project reveal reception held at the rehabil- itated infrastructure. The reception is a celebration of the water opera- tors serving the community and Photo courtesy of Carolina Management Team, Inc. Contractor's Corner Wr i te in Re ad e r In q u ir y #381
