Contact Jonnie Fuller +1 281 228-6496 | jonnie.fuller@nace.org By Tom Rivera, Technical Service Manager for Polyurethane Machiner y Corporation Re-Place Setting T he heated hoses of plural component machines are often dragged over obstacles, dropped on the substrate, and put through rough use. Terefore, the sensing unit, also called the temperature sensing unit (TSU), fuid temperature sensor (FTS), or resis- tance temperature detector (RTD), may break and need to be replaced. Te sensing unit receives a signal from the hose and sends it to the proportion, so it's a necessary part of the string. If you're able to replace the unit without removing the hoses, place the TSU on a bucket. Tis will contain any chemi- cal that might leak onto the foor. CP Wr i te in Re ad e r In q u ir y #370
