Ten there are the rare jobs that actually involve nuts. Tis job was one of those. Julio A. Hallack, of the eponymous Concrete by Hallack, was able to secure a job coating the foors for Nut Up Industries, a state-of-the-art almond-processing and -packaging facility in Escalon, Calif. Nut Up Industries is owned by Roche Brothers International Family Nut Company. Te Roche family has been in the farming business for more than 100 years. Te Nut Up Industries facility makes roasted almonds, blanched almonds, sliced almonds, almond butter, and almond meal and four. Te company is "very focused on food safety to make high-quality almond snacks," Hallack said. And Hallack knew that the high quality of his company would produce on this project as well. Securing the Floor Hallack got the job at Nut Up through the general contrac- tor, Bob Grossi Construction, Inc., also of Escalon. "Tey're a construction client of mine, and I've done several industrial foor projects for him throughout the years," Hallack said. "Tey're a company with many years of experience on Central Valley building commercial and industrial projects, and they are recognized by industry peers as one of the fnest food-process- ing general contractors." Hallack owns Concrete by Hallack, a Turlock, Calif.-based company with seven employees. "My company does a lot of foors as well," he said. "Tis job came by because I was doing an acid stain on a diferent building in the Roche Brothers complex. I was visiting the facilities, and they mentioned that the foors in the processing and packaging room were going to be done." Like a wise businessman, Hallack saw his opportunity.
