Next there was a pack ing room at about 6,950 square feet (645.7 m²) w ith 2,171 feet (661.7 m) of control and slip joints. Te Concrete by Hallack crew would be working with a substrate that was a new indoor slab in excellent condition. But the slab was giving Hallack heartburn. "Tere were lot of problems with cracking the frst time the slab was poured, and the coating we were using was not going to hide imperfections," Hallack said. "I was nervous about the slab, so I requested the company that does foor preparation for us to do a mockup." Te company did a 10-foot-by-10-foot (3 m x 3 m) mockup so they could test to be sure the shot blast prepping process was up to its peak performance. Te sample was "to make sure that the concrete was sound and would meet our company and manufacturer requirements on surface prep," Hallack said.
