The Port Royal Ocean Resorts and Conference Center, on Mustang Island in Port Aransas, Texas is a perfect spot for vacationers and conventioneers alike. But the coastal location, with its combination of sea breezes, salt spray, wildlife, and almost constant sunshine proved to be detrimental to the resort building and its outbuildings.

ABOVE During routine inspections, the resort's facility and engineer- ing personnel discovered that the main building's 120,000-sq. ft., light- gauge steel, standing seam metal roof had begun to rust and leak. The damage was slight, but given the area's high humidity, they knew it would get progressively worse. Any solution needed to be enacted without shut- ting the resort. So they called the experienced roof coating team from Com- mercial Roofing LLC.
