Together, these two components form a fully reinforced monolithic membrane. e resin cures within minutes, resulting in a quicker preparation time than other roofing membranes. In addition, the all-in- one roofing system does not require a topcoat, which cuts installation time and the cost of labor. For more infor- mation, contact: Kemper System, (800) 541-5455, www.kemper-system.com Reader Inquiry #3679 SOPREMA Releases Improved Polyurethane Adhesive SOPREMA recently unveiled its new DUOTACK 365, a low-rise, two-part polyurethane adhesive for adhering insulation boards, cover boards, or thermal barriers. e adhesive gives the contractor the same quality as the company's previ- ous DUOTACK as well as the ability to apply it in temperatures as low as 14° F (-10° C) with no conditioning required. is is the lowest application temperature in the industry, according to the company. For more information, contact: SOPREMA, (800) 356-3521, www.soprema.us Reader Inquiry #3680 Rhino Linings Unveils New Chemical-Resistant Coating Protective coatings and linings manufacturer and distributor Rhino Linings Corp. has released a new addition to its growing line of industrial‐grade protective linings. e HiChem 11‐70 is a two‐component, 100 percent solids, zero VOC (volatile organic compound) polyurethane lining, and the company said it represents its most chemical-re- sistant product to date. e lining, developed as part of a partnership with Dow Polyurethanes, provides strong stability for immersion applications and where high levels of chemical resis- tance are required to deliver superior corrosion protection, according to the company. In addition to chemical resis- tance, HiChem meets National Science Foundation (NSF) Standard 61 require- ments for use in potable water storage tanks of 5 gal. (18.9 L) and larger or on pipelines with 0.75‐in. (19.1 mm) pipe diameter or greater. For more infor- mation, contact: Rhino Linings, (858) 450-0441, www.rhinolinings.com Reader Inquiry #3681 PPG Introduces One-Layer, Direct-to-Metal Coating Paints, coatings, and materials devel- oper PPG Industries introduced its SPECTRACRON SPM Series DTM (direct-to-metal) monocoat, a one-com- ponent coating that helps prevent corrosion on heavy-duty, transporta- tion, agricultural, and construction equipment. e coating, engineered for direct application to pretreated metal substrates, provides corrosion resistance comparable to traditional two-compo- nent primer-topcoat systems, which represents a significant technical advance. e proprietary high-solids, high-gloss formulation also enables the coating to be applied over pretreatment chemistries such as iron-phosphate, zinc-phosphate, and zirconium at suppli- er-recommended weights. Flash times and cure temperatures for the coating are similar to those commonly associ- ated with current urethane topcoats, eliminating concerns about fast wet-on- wet application times and enabling the coating to work without constraints on existing paint lines.
