Assessing what you've accomplished in years past and making goals for the future are a part of owning a company. Do you want to grow financially or geographically? Do you want to maintain your profits or reach higher goals? Can you begin to step back from the day-to-day activities and start spending more time with the kids or grandkids? A lthough reflections don't neces- sarily need to take place just at the beginning of the year, it might be an easier way to put a pin in the board to make some assessments. Several local chapters in Eastern Pennsylvania collaborated to create a mentorship program for young women in their area. If labor shortages have hit your area, building your own mentorship program internally or externally may be of use.
