For more information, contact: Jotun, (713) 860-8241, International Product Launches in North America AkzoNobel 's International brand announced the launch of three new marine coatings products in North America. e Interthane 990V represents a low-volatile organic compound (VOC) polyurethane finish design to provide long-term cosmetic protection for vessels in all exterior environments. Meanwhile, the Intergard 7500 is a high-volume solids, abrasion-resistant, aluminum-pure epoxy universal primer with low-tem- perature application capabilities for use in new building or in maintenance and repair operations. Finally, the Interline 975P is a high-performance potable water tank coating, which can also be used for void spaces, cofferdams, and liquid mud tanks. e Interline 975P is also for use in new building projects or in maintenance and repair. For more information, contact: AkzoNobel, (312) 544-7000, Polyurea Coating Adheres Well to Concrete Coatings manufacturer Chemline, Inc. is offering Chemline ARC, which adheres well to concrete with the use of a primer and meets leading indus- try standards for potable water. e product is widely used in both the construction and contractor markets due to its strong physical proper- ties and resistance to moisture. e product is a fast-set, spray-applied, two-component polyurea that contains 100-percent solids and zero VOCs. It is a pure polyurea, meaning that it yields better chemical resistance and handles a wider range of temperature fluctu- ations. With a 12-second gel time, it provides rapid turn around and reduces labor costs. e product must be applied using a high-pressure, heated plural component pump. For more information, contact: Chemline, (314) 664-2230, Durable Industrial Spray Coating for Aluminum PPG introduced its Durastar ultra-du- rable industrial spray coating, a one-coat application for aluminum extrusions that meets the exterior durability requirements of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association's A AMA 2604 specifica- tion for five years of exposure in South Florida. Composed of a proprietary polyester resin, the coating can be applied directly to metal or over a primer. It provides corrosion resistance, color fastness, and chalk, scratch, and mar resistance for high-end building products and components used in store- fronts, schools, hospitals, and other high-traffic areas. e versatility and hardness of the coating gives window, door, and building product manufactur- ers a cost-effective option for achieving weathering performance without the associated cost premium. For more information, contact: PPG, (800) 258-6398, Second-Generation Hybrid Underwater Vehicle Aquabotix introduced its second-gen- eration hybrid underwater vehicle, the Integra AUV/ROV (autonomous underwater vehicle/remotely operated vehicle). Single-person deployable, portable, and lithium ion battery-pow- ered, the vehicle allows users to conduct multiple underwater missions, while providing a cost-efficient alter- native to deploying separate vehicles. It can be configured with multiple sensors and maneuvered by an easy-to- use intuitive platform accessible from any web-enabled device. e vehicle is designed for use across several sectors, including research, environmental assessment, and infrastructure, and it can search wide areas using untethered AUV mode while conducting detailed inspections using tethered ROV mode. Users can easily switch modes by attaching the tether to remotely control New & Noteworthy
