For the Commercial Roof category, RoofCARE takes home first place for the Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) Commons Area Renovation project. e crew installed a fluid-applied system despite windy conditions. Savings were described in detail on this submission: "ere was a significant savings of both time and money for the college. Because we saved the existing roof and installed the fluid-applied system over it, SFCC didn't have to pay to have it torn off and replaced. Sustainable, fluid-applied options also save production time for the same reason. In addition, this system offers renewable warranties. After the initial warranty is up, this roof simply needs to be cleaned and another two or more finish coats can be installed at a low cost to provide another full system warranty term. W hen looking at long-term costing, by renovating this roof now, SFCC will see significant savings over the next 20 years." Second place for the Commercial Roof category goes to Foam Tight Roofing and Insulation/BN Contracting, LLC for the PSE&G LEED [Public Service Electric and Gas Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design] Platinum Certified Green Roof project, and third place goes to ACS Commercial Roofing for the Commonwealth Assisted Living at Abingdon project. 2018 Contractor Awards Winners
