For our San Diego offices, they really only have two seasons: w indows open and w indows closed, but the sports and beer part still apply. Regardless, summer to many means watching a game and sipping a cold one in the comfort of your ow n home. Sure, the kids may be home on vacation, the list of chores is piling up, and the number of coating projects may be overwhelming, but hopefully, you can take a minute to sit back and relax a bit with us! Summer Break e July 2018 issue of CoatingsPro is our main summertime issue, and we've got those topics and more covered between these covers. To start, we're sharing a floor coating recoat done at the A lamodome, home to this year's National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NC A A) Final Four. at project is highlighted on page 30. Grab a pint and check out the feature article on the lining of a beer tank at an internationally known brewer that wishes to remain unnamed (page 48). It makes sense that the lining installed for this tasty venture was manufactured by a German company. A s for the A /C , most of us can't get that w ithout an electr ic and gas company work ing behind the scenes. Stephanie Marie Chizik Editor For one such company out of New Jersey, the new bui ld ing was getting an insu lated system, and the team chose a coated spray poly urethane foam (SPF) roof top to achieve those needs (page 38). To boot, the crew that insta l led the water proof ing system and a vegetative roof on top (among other things) won 2nd place in the Commercia l Roof ing categor y in this year's Contractor Awards Prog ram. On top of the features, we're also sharing some background information on anti-slip properties of floors (page 20), documenting safety meetings (page 22), and insight on the roofing indus- try's image (page 66). Sunny Times It's been a long w inter for many of us, and it's finally summertime. Sit back, drink a beer (perhaps from that tank), watch a game (perhaps hosted in the A lamodome), and do some light reading (perhaps the mag in hand). Enjoy your summer while it lasts! CP
